CROK at Maker Faire Schedule:
- 8:30-9:50am – Safety
- 9:30 – Arrival cutoff
- 10am – Fights begin
- 5pm- End of Event
We’ll start setting up the booth space at 7:00 AM. Safety will begin as soon as the arena is built and ready (around 8:30 AM). We want matches to start at 10:00 AM to coincide with the opening of the Maker Faire to the public. If you are not at a pit table by 9:30 AM, you are late! The Maker Faire closes at 5:00 PM, so we must be done with the tournament brackets at that time.
Rules:
- No fire weapons or ICE (Internal Combustion Engines).
Safety:
All bots will be required to pass a safety check verifying the following:
- Robots must meet the SPARC Robot Construction Specifications.
- Weapon locks and sharp edge covers must be used while the bot is outside of the arena.
- A LiPo charging bag must be used when charging your batteries.
Arena and Hazards:
The arena is 8 ft x 8 ft x 2 ft tall with a wooden floor. There is a seam in the middle of the floor, but we do our best to minimize it.
Pits:
Electrical outlets may be limited, so it is recommended to bring your own power strips and extension cords. Pit space is limited, so we are asking each team to only use half of a provided folding table.
Tournament Style:
Dependent on number of entrants. Robots registered in tournament will be guaranteed at least two fights.
Registered robots have priority over waitlisted robots on the event day. There is no guarantee that a waitlisted robot will be able to fight in the tournament on the day of the event.
Once the tournaments are over, or during any dead time, we will hold grudge matches and rumbles for those that are interested.
Spectating:
The Maker Faire is free to enter and spectate everything going on.
