Small Monthly Events for practice, experimentation, and fun locally. Held at MAG Lab by the same folks that brought you November Necrosis, Destruction Under the Stars, and Smashbotz.


Event Details:

MAG Lab, a community makerspace, features many tools hardware and electronics for attendants to use once signing a liability waiver. There is also a refrigerator on site for folks to store food or drink. The event is capped low to keep logistics easier and the event from running too long. Streaming and event coordination will be brought to you by SmashBotz! (aka RobotRevo).

There are many food options in the area within close access:

  • Taco Gourmet
  • L&L Hawaiian BBQ


Registration:

If you have found registration is full, please email me and we may be able to make space for you, however we will be prioritizing registration for locals and newer builders/robots.

  • Registrants must register before the event to ensure competition slots.
  • You may bring a robot in case spots open on the day of the event.
  • You should contact event organizer about last minute registrations.
  • Additional registration will be taken in order of wait list.

COVID Considerations:

We will be checking vaccination status, or recent vaccination as per LA County guidelines. Masks will be required at event.

Schedule:

  • 09:00 am – Fights begin
  • 5:00 pm- End of Event


Pits:

If you are for whatever reason unable to bring your own table and chairs, we have a very small amount available on site, however you will have to email me to reserve those and they will be first come first serve.

Spectating:

All are welcome to spectate, and the event is all ages. Under 18 must be accompanied by parents or guardians.

Want to compete but don’t know how to get started? Check out this very basic article on getting going. The Naked Viper kit is designed to supply all of the electronics and mechanicals, other than the chassis, for antweight bots. You’ll also need a transmitter/receiver combo like this, and probably a battery charger like this.
