We believe in kits!

Although many in the sport would disagree with us, we think kits are a fantastic entry point to combat robotics. There’s a lot to learn, and kits are a great way to start with a known working design, rather than struggling to learn everything all at once.

Also, driving skills are critical for success. Kits let you learn to drive without being overly concerned about just getting the bot going.

Safety First!

Even small combat bots can be very destructive and can pack the kinetic energy of a bullet. If you’re just getting started, start with a beginner bot and wait to weaponize. Always use a test box with a bot rated “destructive”.

Get the right options!

If you’re just getting started, know that you’ll need a few things to get going.

For your very first bot, you’ll need:

A transmitter/receiver to control the bot.
Although a Viper can run on a 9V battery, we don’t recommend that. Add a rechargable lipo battery to run your bot.
Lipo batteries need a charger. Get a good one; you’ll have it for a long time.

Our bundles are a great way to get everything you need at the beginning.

You won’t need this right away, but the sport is designed to damage your bot. Think about what you’ll need to keep fighting. Tools and wear parts are important at a match: wheels, motors, ESCs, and armor are often needed.
