Beetleweight Chassis Kit – Black Frost EVO

$99.00

Want to build a combat robot? 3 lb Beetleweights are a great place to start, and a Beetleweight Chassis Kit like The Black Frost EVO makes getting started much easier. You can focus on getting your bot put together, rather than figuring out how to 3D print an effective chassis or mill one out of UHMW or HDPE.

The three pound Beetleweight class is a great weight class to get started in. Beetleweights are relatively easy to build, not incredibly expensive, have a lot of events and competitions, and produce a prodigious amount of action in the ring

The Beetleweight Chassis Kit “Black Frost EVO” is designed to be upgraded, modified, sawed, drilled, added to, and upgraded. Recommended for ages 6+ with a parent. Most Beetleweights will need wiring and soldering to create a fully functioning bot.

The Black Frost EVO’s base weight is only 12.2oz, which allows for almost another 36 oz of motors, weapons, ESCs, batteries, and wiring. This is the second generation Black Frost, a more “EVOlved” version that has more armor in critical areas, and paves the way for new upcoming eggbeaters and wedges. This is the latest design from our friends at the Frosty Design Shop. ItGresa is very proud to continue to offer the best new products from the robot community and we’re VERY happy to offer this Chassis from Jonathan Frost. An accomplished engineer, Jonathan has been the principal designer in a number of open-source projects through the years, including the Rēzo 1390 laser engraver.

Combat Robotics is a great sport for kids or grown-ups.  If you’re a parent, interested in getting your children involved in STEM, nothing could be better than Combat Robotics as a start.  If you find your children watching BattleBots on TV, they’ll love learning to build and fight their very own combat robot.
