What is this pulley used for?

This is the large driven pulley in the NightWing undercutter weapon system. It sits at the weapon disc end of the belt drive, transferring power from the F4006 weapon motor via the FingerTech 67T timing belt to spin the weapon disc.

Why does this pulley have a threaded bore instead of a setscrew?

The 5/16-24 UNF threaded bore is specific to the NightWing undercutter weapon assembly — it's how the weapon disc assembly is secured in the frame. Standard FingerTech setscrew-mount pulleys use a different bore design and are not interchangeable with this one.

What belt does this pulley use?

The NightWing kit uses the FingerTech 67T timing belt. This pulley is compatible with any 4mm-wide S3M belt, but the 67T is the correct length for the NightWing weapon drive geometry.

Should I keep a spare?

Yes — the NightWing's open undercutter geometry means the weapon system can take indirect hits. A spare 42T pulley alongside a spare 67T belt covers the most likely weapon system failures at an event.
