The Saifu Antweight Chassis & Drum Kit was designed by veteran builder Peter Smith of Team Rolling Thunder, creator of over 20 combat robots. Saifu represents years of evolution and battle-tested experience in the antweight class.
Durable, Lightweight, and Built to Hit Hard
This version of Saifu features a tough UHMW chassis with integrated wheel guards and carbon fiber top and bottom plates. The frame is designed to absorb abuse while keeping your components protected round after round.
Powerful Hubmotor Weapon System
The Saifu’s beater bar weapon is a precision-machined aluminum hubmotor—one of the first commercially available in combat robotics. It uses replaceable hardened steel bolt teeth for long life and easy maintenance. Because it’s a direct-drive design, there are no belts or pulleys to break under impact.

Maintenance & Parts
- For wheels, we recommend the 0.50in × 2.00in FingerTech Snap Wheels.
- For motors, you can choose 3mm or 4mm shafts for extra durability. Heavier shafts add strength, but be mindful of the antweight class limit—you can always trim excess shaft length to save weight.
- Make sure your hubs match your wheel and shaft choice. For example:
- If you select 0.50in wheels, use 0.50in FingerTech Twist Hubs.
- If you select a 3mm shaft, use hubs with a 3mm bore.

Do I need to buy a transmitter and charger with every build?
No — your transmitter and charger can be reused across multiple robots. If this is your first build, you’ll want to grab our Radio Starter Pack and Smart Charger. For future builds, just reuse those components.

Does the kit come with a wiring harness?
No — you’ll need to supply or build your own wiring setup. For convenience, you can also add the optional Saifu wiring harness, which includes a FingerTech Mini Power Switch.
What drive motors and wheels should I use?
The chassis fits most 16mm antweight motors. We recommend Repeat Robotics Mk2 Brushed Motors and FingerTech Twist Hubs paired with 2.00in × 0.50in Snap Wheels.
