Precision Engineering for the 1lb Class
The Repeat Robotics Scalar Combat Robot Kit delivers a professional-grade horizontal spinner platform utilizing high-strength carbon fiber, 3D printed TPU, and machined metal components. This bundle addresses the most common failure points in Antweight spinners by mounting a precision machined weapon hub to a high-strength titanium shaft. This rigid core is sandwiched between 3mm and 2mm carbon fiber plates, ensuring that kinetic energy is delivered to your opponent rather than warping your chassis. Sold as a complete kit.
Performance & Electronics Guidance
The Scalar is optimized for 3S (11.1V) operation. The custom-wound Repeat Drive motors provide 1220RPM free speed and nearly 1200g·cm of stall torque, giving you the “push” needed to control the arena.
Note on Operation: While rated for 2S–4S, we recommend 3S for the best balance of power and component life. Avoid extended stalls — stalling for more than 25 seconds on 3S can damage the drive ESC and motor.

Every component in this kit is available individually. Check the Maintenance tab for a full spare parts list — we recommend stocking at least a spare belt, a spare set of motor mounts, and a spare weapon disc before your first event.

Maintenance and Survivability
Keep your Scalar competition-ready — inspect fasteners and belts after every fight. Actual wear will vary based on your electronics and how hard you hit.

Is this product OK for beginners?
This product has a rapidly spinning horizontal weapon. It is considered an intermediate to advanced build. The bot must only be run inside of a test box or arena. See ItGresa’s Combat Robotics Safety Guide and the recommendations and links on our “Description” tab.
Just how dangerous is it?
Spinning weapons can pack the kinetic energy of a bullet. We have seen loose screws that get thrown penetrate 1/4in glass and bots and weapons destroy 3/8in Lexan. Treat all weaponized bots with a high degree of respect. See ItGresa’s Combat Robotics Safety Guide.
Do I need anything else to run the bot?
All combat robots need a receiver/transmitter and a LiPo charger. We recommend the Flysky FS-CT6B, which comes pre-programmed for a mixed signal, or the Flysky FS-i6, which will have to be mixed manually. We stock two versions of robust chargers, the C6D 60W and the C6D 100W. A 300–380mAh 3S LiPo with an XT30 connector is recommended — Repeat found 4 minutes of run time in tests with the weapon at 50% on a 300mAh 3S.
What components are included in the kit?
The Scalar Combat Robot Kit includes the Scalar Frame Kit, TPU chassis, Scalar Weapon Hub, Scalar Weapon Kit (blade and hardware), Titanium Weapon Shaft, Weapon Pulley, Repeat Ant Belt Drive 2305 Weapon Motor, 2x Brushed Drive Gearmotors, Foam Wheels, Gold Eco Hubs, Ant Dual Drive ESC, ReadyToSky 35A Weapon ESC, and a FingerTech Mini Screw Switch. Receiver and battery are not included.
How do I operate the power switch?
The FingerTech Mini Switch is activated by tightening the screw clockwise with a 3/32in hex wrench. One full rotation counterclockwise disconnects the power. Only finger-tighten the screw; excessive force is not required.
What happens if I stall the drive motors?
Caution is required: on 3S, stalling for more than 25 seconds can cause permanent damage to the motor and the FETs on the ESC. Always release the drive stick if the robot is pinned or wedged to prevent overheating.
Are the foam wheels durable?
Yes. Neoprene foam is chosen for combat because it absorbs energy that would otherwise shatter a hard plastic wheel or gearmotor. If struck, the foam will tear rather than break, often allowing the robot to keep moving. It’s also not about the durability of the wheels alone, but of the entire drivetrain — foam wheels can absorb energy that would otherwise be transferred to the drive shaft, causing shafts to bend or break.
