Learn Robotics the Fun Way
This Camp Witch Doctor Combat Robot Kit turns kids’ curiosity into real engineering skills. Created by Team Witch Doctor from the hit TV show BattleBots, this beginner-friendly kit lets builders ages 8 and up assemble, wire, and drive their own non-destructive flipper bot. No arena, tools, or experience required—everything you need comes right in the box. This bot is one of ten in the Camp Witch Doctor lineup.
Guided by Real Builders
Each kit includes exclusive access to Camp Witch Doctor Academy—20+ video lessons hosted by team captain Andrea Gellatly and her crew. Students follow along step-by-step as Andrea builds, battles, and repairs a bot while teaching key concepts in electronics, mechanical design, and problem solving. It’s hands-on STEM taught by real engineers who compete on the biggest stage in combat robotics.
Everything You Need—Right Out of the Box
Each Camp Witch Doctor kit includes hardware, tools, safety glasses, radio gear, batteries, and charger—so kids can start building immediately. The included Build Book doubles as a printed curriculum, making this kit perfect for classrooms, homeschoolers, and families alike. Because it’s non-destructive, kids can compete and repair safely on any tabletop without damaging their home—or each other’s robots.
Reusable, Customizable, Educational
Builders can reprint new chassis or weapon parts to transform the same electronics into any of the ten Witch Doctor character bots. With each iteration, they gain experience in 3D printing, CAD modeling, and real-world design thinking. They can start with Any Camp Witch Doctor Combat Robot today—then move on to their own custom creation tomorrow.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age range is this for?
Recommended for ages 8 and up with adult oversight as needed, however, very young kids can successfully build these bots with the help of an adult. Younger builders may require more help with small parts and charging.
Do I need any extra tools or parts?
No—everything needed to build and drive is included in the box: hardware, basic tools, safety glasses, radio gear, battery, charger, and a printed Build Book. The robot comes in WHITE and many kids decorate their bot in their own chosen colors; paint/markers are not included.
What's included in the kit?
- Robot Chassis and weapon - Robust 3D Printed Parts.
- Pro-level motors and electronics - Powerful, Reliable Components.
- Radio System - High Quality Wireless Control.
- Battery System - Rechargeable Battery and Charger.
- Tool Kit - Screwdriver, Pliers, Safety glasses and more.
- Driving Cones - Practice your Driving Anywhere
- Exclusive Access to CWD Academy - Textbook, Video Lessons, and Online Resources
Is it safe for indoor play?
Yes. These kits use non-destructive mechanisms (lifters, hammers, flippers)—no spinning weapons—so you can battle on a tabletop or open floor without an arena.
How long does the build take?
Most first-time builders complete assembly in a few sessions. The included video lessons make it easy to pause, review steps, and come back later.
Are there guided lessons?
Yes. Each kit includes access to Camp Witch Doctor Academy—20+ step-by-step videos that teach building, driving, repairs, and engineering concepts.
Do I need an arena or test box?
No. These are designed for safe, non-destructive battles at home. A flat uncarpeted floor works great. We do offer a Witch Doctor Arena arena for more safety and structure if desired.
Can we customize or reprint parts?
Yes. Use the included 3D files to reprint chassis and weapon parts, try different character designs, or learn CAD to create your own.
How do we get replacement parts?
Common wear items and spares are available in the Maintenance tab below. Add what you need directly to your cart.
Getting started — what should we do first?
Open the box, skim the printed Build Book, and watch the first Camp Witch Doctor Academy video together. Charge the battery with the included charger while you review the first steps, then follow the video to assemble and perform your first drive test. Keep the Build Book nearby for quick reference.
