Tania Allen gets full page in Georgia Tech Catalog:

Dateline: Monday July 24, 2017.

ItGresa CEO, Tania Allen, appears in the Georgia Tech Catalog.  We’re sure they chose her as a symbol not only of the Cybersecurity Professional Education certification that she received, but also of Women In Tech, Women as Business Leaders, Latinas in Technology, and more.  ItGresa loves Georgia Tech, and we are thrilled to see her recognized as the positive symbol and role model that she is.

Over the last several years, Tania has used her Georgia Tech education, both her English as a Second Language (ESL) certificate and her Cybersecurity certificate, to start a technology company in Georgia and to advance robotics education in the Atlanta Area.

Currently, Tania’s company specializes in Cybersecurity, SEO, Social Media, and on providing parts for the robotics industry and hobbyists, particularly combat robotics.

The ItGresa Robotics branch of ItGresa Consulting Group, Inc. runs combat robotics teams, and sponsors educational teams as well, particularly Marist School‘s  Marist Robotics Program as a Program Sponsor.

ItGresa’s Combat Robotics Team has competed at Robot Battles events at DragonCon, MomoCon, and Battle in the Backwoods 2.  Team member Charlie Allen (age 12) pulled off a win against some serious competition in the beetleweight weights class (3 lb).

Her company also sponsors several events, including Battle In the Backwoods and First State Fights.  The company sells several parts and systems for the combat robotics’ sport on their website https://itgresa.com/robotics-kits/ .  The company also sells educational and practical systems, including arduino based systems like the Megamoto and the Megamoto Plus control shields.  These are particularly popular for Linear Actuator projects with linear actuators from companies like Progressive Automations.  You can see a project writeup here.

Tania has a fascination for robotics, and her project for her digital engineering degree was to build and program a robot arm.  This was in 1996, long before many of the components, libraries,  systems, and code were readily available.

That fascination extends today, and is one of the driving forces behind ItGresa’s robotics business.

And on their website:

Georgia Tech also has featured Tania on their professional education website as one of their success stories.
